Thank you to the kind folks on Carroll White Street between 10th and 16th. The Battered Animals Agency had an above average day yesterday late afternoon and evening.

Eastgate area

June 6, 2011
Over the weekend we canvassed the eastgate area which consisted of Shortridge, Michener, and Burbank streets. We were pleased with the reception we received.

Near Castleton

June 1, 2011
Thank you goes out to the folks in the 71st & Allisonville Road area that gave what they could. Its an area beset with many 'no solicitation' signs that we invariably ignored. We have to ask for help but we will only come a-knockin' once.

Gumdog Sale

The dog-shaped cookie order forms will be distributed at area shopping centers, grocery stores, and even some will be passed out door-to-door. Please be on the look-out for them.

Dog Cookies for People

May 26, 2011
Yes, they'll be dog-shaped cookies. The order forms will be distributed at area shopping centers soon. Please stop a moment and order a dozen (they are guaranteed to please) when you see one of our reps. We will try to be conspicuous as possible. All proceeds will go to the Battered Animals Agency.

Eastside

May 26, 2011
Thanks goes out to the nice folks on Campbell Street north of Pleasant Run and south of 10th Street. Maybe we didn't raise any money but at least no one called the police on us like someone did over in the Maple Creek neighborhood, near 21st and Mitthoefer Street. Supposedly our representative ignored the 'No Solicitation' sign that he claims doesn't exist. We do not like knocking on doors indiscriminately any more than you like being interrupted in the middle of dinner or an important phone call or family matter. We apologize in advance to whomever we interrupt with our pleas for money. We are trying to organize a bake sale; cookies, cupcakes, etc. with the proceeds going to the Battered Animals Agency. We are ironing out the details as I post this.

Irvington Area

May 21, 2011

Bruce & Martha D................................$20
Ilana & Laura H...................................$15
Judy M...............................................$10

and a thank you is in order for all the other kind and generous folks of this area who donated what they could anonymously.

Meridian Hills

May 20, 2011
The big and beautiful Meridian Hills area is a tough neighborhood for door-to-door canvassing, really tough. evidently there is a 'no solicitation' ordinance that encompasses the entire area. We were unaware of this until told by a Meridian Hills resident. We do respect your privacy. If you have a 'No Solicitation' placard in your yard or doorway we will not knock at your door. Regardless, we knocked on approximately 75 doors and received three (3) donations.

Ralph K.............................$25
William L............................$20
Ray O.................................$10

Thank you good people of Meridian Hills.
